CADENCE NYC ANNOUNCEMENT
Dear Cadence Athletes & Customers,
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closing of the Cadence Cycling & Multisport Center in New York City at the end of business Sunday, May 17th. When we opened our original location in Philadelphia five years ago, Cadence set out to establish a new standard and a new direction for high-end products, world-class coaching and first-class customer service for cyclists and triathletes of all abilities. We're proud that business has grown every year in Philadelphia, but the New York City venue, which opened two years ago, was a victim of the economic downturn. Cadence's New York City location was specifically chosen to be in close proximity to the financial sector and investment banker clientele, which were hit the hardest in the global recession.
Closing was a very difficult decision to make as we fully believe in the Cadence concept and plan to grow it by opening additional locations in a more favorable economic climate. We created something that didn't previously exist thus we accomplished what we set out to do by building the finest cycling and multisport center in the world right here in New York City. We couldn't have done it without your loyal support. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Below is information to address questions you may have about this transition.

Coaching
We hope that you will continue to be a member of the Cadence family by converting your coaching program to a remote coaching plan. Ever since we first opened for business, Cadence has successfully created customized training programs for cyclists and triathletes through remote coaching - from weekend warriors and dedicated amateurs to elite and professional athletes. Cadence designs coaching programs for athletes as far away as Europe (Cervelo TestTeam's Dominique Rollin), Canada (professional cyclist Francois Parisen), and a pair of California-based outfits: the U.S. Marine Corp Triathlon and Running Programs and Team Helen's cycling club. The highly-trained staff of certified expert coaches under the direction of Brian Walton, an Olympic silver medalist, Canadian National Champion and former pro cyclist, is passionately committed to helping you achieve your cycling and triathlon goals. Cadence coaches possess a commitment to excellence that includes an unquenchable desire for the latest scientific data and training research breakthroughs so that they can help you stay ahead of the competition.
Athletes coached by Cadence are able to take advantage of another Cadence innovation: Cadence TV is home to hundreds of workouts and stimulating videos including some shot with a helmet camera. Athletes personalize their workouts on Cadence TV by specifying their target heart rate and power zones.
It's easy to convert to remote coaching. Your Cadence coach is ready and willing to help you make the switch today. However, full refunds are available upon request for any pre-paid coaching service if you decide not to continue with Cadence coaching.
