2015 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp EVO 29

XC light and all-mountain capable, the Stumpy FSR Comp EVO 29 is the way to total trail domination. It all starts with an M5 hydroformed frame with a tapered head tube for strength and a PF30 bottom bracket for exceptional stiffness. From there, the RockShox Revelation RC 29 fork provides 140mm of smooth travel while the Fox Float CTD Evolution rear shock and FSR suspension smooths out the gnarliest of trails with 135mm of travel. You'll have the right gear for all trail conditions thanks to the SRAM 2 x 10-speed drivetrain, and the Roval 29-inch wheels roll smooth and fast on all-day shreds. And, with Specialized tires hooking up in the corners and a Command Post dropper post, you'll breeze down enduro courses and climb with confidence anywhere on the mountain!

The only brand to fix 29ers

About Me

Comments:

I'm primarily a xc rider and this bike is perfect for those riders who want a more agressive full suspension bike. Overall I am very impressed the suspension is perfect, the components are good for what you pay and the overall ..spec is amazing but..... The formula c1 brakes are not impressive at all, they squeal....they vibrate....also in sloppy conditions they feel squishy. I would have much rather have liked avid or shimano brakes The brake problems aside I love the way this bike handles In my opinion it is the perfect chain stay length... The handling is very spritley and alive. I hear many nasty things about 29ers saying they handle like a bus and blah..blah..blah. This bike takes all those opinions and smashes them. This bike handles almost like a 26 in the tight stuff but it can also roll over anything with those big wheels.. Like I said specialized is the only brand to figure out how to fix 29ers, look at the enduro 29... Other brands have taken the easy way out and developed 650b bikes. In my opinion that's stupid. Why only get half the benefit when u could have a great handling 29er that dose all the same things. If you are at all considering the camber or epic. I would recommend this bike. It handles like a champ. Climbs good... And when it comes to descending this bike is second to none... Overall a great bike I am very happy with my purchase.

the core of trail bikes

About Me

Comments:

I've had the hard-tail version of this bike and a carbon camber. I picked the evo stumpy up a few weeks ago and I am still super impressed with with the overall performance. Like most of us I owned several bikes and all for different purposes, but I've found myself with the stumpy more than the others over the past few weeks due to its overall abilities and very tuned characteristics that make it both capable and by far a favorite ride for the fun factor it provides. This bike is by far and above the best bike I own.

About Me

Comments:

Just pick up a Stumpy EVO 29er and have to say "wow" nice bike. Blew away my expectations about owning a 29er and feels real good! Good price and good product. Good job Specialized.

Amazing ride, average components

About Me

Comments:

Just picked this bike up from my LBS in Salt Lake. I took it straight to Mid Mountain in Park City. The ride was amazing, suspension and geometry were dialed, but about half way into my ride on a steep climb i went to go for an easier gear and the chain dropped behind the cassette on the back. It took me a good 10 min of yanking to get it free. Then on the decent i went for a shift to my big chainring when the chain caught between the two rings and bent the derailur forward to the point were there was no chain tension. I ended up having to get my chain breaker out and ride to the car chain-less. So it ended up being a frustrating and stressful first ride. I got every thing working again after 2 hours of work at home. I hope it all works better when I go out tomorrow because i really don't want to have to drop more money to upgrade my drive train.
