Female-specific bike design. As any diva exudes a rare and outstanding talent in a league of her own, so does Orbea's Diva. Born of identical DNA to the 2010 Orca from a performance and materials standpoint, the female-specific build of the Diva is simultaneously taken to a new level with our Dama* geometry positioning the Diva as the premier, top level women's bicycle on the market. To complement the specific sizing of the Diva, revising the carbon lay-up for this model allows a smooth ride equally comparable to that found with the top-fo-the-line Orca. Multiple national championships and Olympic selections are a testament to its accomplishments, while design aesthetics, bold new paint schemes and a loyal following make the Diva one of Orbea's top selling products in the U.S.A. Consistently, Diva owners and prospects are partial to the superior ride quality, contemporary and stylish European frame design and precise fit. Female bike racrs, serious female cyclists or those who simply want the best will find their own exceptional talent while riding the Diva. Dama Geometry for Women - Dama geometry consists of more than shorter top tubes and marketing hype. Every single angle of every frame size is designed to contribute to one of the smoothest, fastest, most stable performance bikes in the world. Our size 49 road bike is a perfect example of the care with which the Dama geometry was developed. Designed to be the smallest available production race bike made with 700c wheels, the size 49 was created with utmost attention to front-center measurements and headtube angles. The result is a real petite racing bike – a first in women’s bike design.
Wheel Size Matters: Dama 650c - Orbea believes that every rider should have the same inspired experience. The average adult woman is approximately 5’4” tall. This means that approximately half of the female population is less than 5’4” and that a significant number of women need a bike smaller than can be designed with 700c wheels. When addressing the needs of our customers who are smaller in stature we were unwilling to make compromises in regards to how a bike should feel. The new 46cm size with 650c wheels will allow a woman of less than five feet to get the same precise fit without sacrificing handling or safety. Orbea knows that sometimes less is more. |
