Every One's Unique

Each and every Cyfac frame is hand-made in La Fuye, France. There is no separate production line for pro frames and your frame - they are all uniquely made, side-by-side, by the very same skilled artisans who have custom built bikes for Hinault, Guimard, Brochard, Chiappucci, Fignon, Millar, Longo, Durand, Virenque, Vandenbroucke, Mottet, Leblanc, Pantani, and numerous others.

Cyfac makes what are probably the most famous frames of which you've never heard. In the pro peloton they have been re-badged by numerous other manufacturers, including Bianchi, Peugeot, Vitus, Raleigh, Panasonic, Decathlon, MBK, Time, and Lapiere. Even Pantani demanded that some of his bikes be built by Francis Quillon, the founder of Cyfac. Due to Cyfac's relentless pursuit to provide the best racing machines for European pros, Cyfac always thought outside of the box and brought innovation to the frame makers' world. In fact, Cyfac was the first to make a TIG-welded all aluminum frame, was the first to make an all titanium frame, and was the first to offer 100% custom carbon frames. What Cyfac has in store for 2008 will be even more shocking!

Wherever there are cycling afficianados, Cyfac gets much deserved attention. And while many high-end framesets are being outsourced to Asia to reduce costs and increase volume, Cyfac continues to assert itself as a small, handmade brand in the greatest tradition of European frame builders. Just think of it: even Pinarello and Colnago each make over 15,000 framesets per year, while Cyfac will make only about 1,500, over 90% of which will be custom designed and built to their customers' exact physiological requirements. Of Cyfac's total annual frame production, at most 200 will be sold in the United States.

Why Cyfac?

The next time you're looking into high-end frames, ask yourself the following about the brand you're considering: Can the company hand-build a 100% custom frame? Can the company build a fully custom carbon frame? Does the company have a design and fit methodology and tool researched and backed by over 400,000 data points? Does the company have a proven record of advancing the sport, working with cutting edge materials, and supplying world class cyclists with custom frames? Does the frame builder have a workshop in their country of origin where you can watch their frames being assembled? Does the company employ ergonomists, sport physiologists, and work with leading national institutes of sport? With Cyfac, each of these questions can be answered in the affirmative. Few others can boast such a proud claim.

Up to 2001, roughly 30% of the entire European pro peloton was riding a bike built by Francis Quilon and Cyfac's artisans in their small Loire Valley atelier. It's no wonder, then, that Cyfac's record of success speaks to loudly:

Cadence is the world's #1 dealer for Cyfac, so you can now enjoy the exclusivity of one of the world's most sought after and finely handcrafted framesets right here in the United States. Cadence was also the United States first Cyfac Certified Expert fit center. Throughout the world there are only 90 such centers, each of which must train its personnel in the use of Cyfac's proprietary Postural Fit Cabin. This fit system, designed by Dr. Matthieu Papin, a Ph.D. in Cycling Ergonomics, and in conjunction with the French National Institute of Sport in Lyon, France, is the ultimate tool for custom frame design. In France, the Cyfac Postural Fit System is so highly regarded that professional cycling teams Cofidis and Bougyues regularly rely on it for posturing their team members on their racing bikes and to help them overcome injuries, increase power, and reduce the onset of fatigue and repetitive strains.
