ITM

Italy’s Italmanubri, S.p.A., (ITM) is one of the most highly visible names in world-class cycling. In its 30 years, ITM’s stems, seat posts, and handlebars have set the pace for others to follow. One look at the pro-peloton will reinforce this.

ITM’s expertise in machining, forging and other manufacturing processes extends across all contemporary mediums: aluminum alloys, carbon fiber, titanium, magnesium, steel and stainless steel. The look, feel, and finish of ITM products is exemplary. And, unlike many of ITM's Italian counterparts--for instance, Deda, Sintema, and Cinelli--ITM flatly refuses to outsource their products or labor to the Far East. It costs them more, but they take a lot pride in displaying and standing behind the "Made in Italy" label on all of their products. It also means that ITM has the lowest failure rate in the industry.

ITM currently manufactures one of the lightest aluminum stems in production, the VOLO. The VOLO, using ITM's CARBON TECH forged alu carbon integration production process, yields a 120 mm stem at 120 grams and is 3-times stronger than the 155 gram Visia stem currently used in the ProTour peloton.

ITM makes a full range of options, from the high-quality and cost-effective Mantis forged line, to the ultra high-tech and stunning carbon line-up found in the K-Sword and Uniko series. Whichever you choose, you can be certain that it is all designed with safety, durability, and weight savings in mind.

The majority of us at Cadence, like the majority of the pro peloton, ride ITM. For ultimate comfort, minimal flex, and serious weight savings, Cadence suggests ITM's Millennium aluminum products.
