Dave Tiemeyer is perhaps best known for his design and construction of the Atlanta, Sydney, and Athens Olympic Team Bicycles for the United States. He is also the builder of many World Championship Medallists' and World Record Holders' competition cycles. Before immersing himself in the art of bicycle frame building, Tiemeyer was employed as an aeronautical engineer involved with helicopter rotor blade construction. It is not a coincidence that the Signature Tiemeyer Frame resembles such blades. Through years of wind-tunnel testing and competition performance, Tiemeyer Bicycles have proven themselves time and again in aerodynamic efficiency and strength.

Tiemeyer's frames have gone on to win the U.S. National Time Trial Championship (Elizabeth Emory) and are currently ridden by the Olympic Bronze Medalist in the Points Race, Erin Mirabella.
