Cadence's cycling, triathlon, swimming and running classes will turn you into a superior endurance athlete. Whether you are a triathlete or pure cyclist, a trackie, time trialist, climber, mountain biker, cyclocross rider, or just a casual weekender, Cadence's structured indoor sessions have demonstrable and proven benefits. All of our classes are led by one of Cadence's highly qualified and certifed coaches and are fun, challenging, and inspiring training sessions designed to optimize your potential.

Cyclocross Clinic

$295.00 August 20th through August 22nd, 2010

Outdoor sessions Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Evening lectures Friday and Saturday night. This class is pre-season cross camp that will focus on all physiological, technical and tactical aspects of the sport. The class will include heavy doses of basic and advanced cyclocross drills as well as intense cross specific workouts and race simulations. This camp is designed for anyone who is interested in racing cyclocross and instructors will cater to abilities of all levels. The evening lectures will discuss the history, physiological demands, technical requirements and tactics of the sport. This weekend will leave you exhausted, bruised and ready to begin the fall cross season.

Fall Running Class: Going the Distance

$195.00 September 8th through November 10th, 2010 (10 sessions)

Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m. The leaves are changing and that means that it is time to run long. The Cadence Fall Run Class is geared towards those fall distance runs. Many people transition into completing long runs and we’re here to direct you in the right place. The class will feature distance running secrets handed down from our expert coaches, and some great long runs with the company of your fellow classmates. Training for the marathon on your own can be daunting, but with Cadence as your guide, it will be the trip of a lifetime.

Essential Freestyle for the Triathlete: Functional Strength & Power

$250.00 November 4th through December 16th, 2010 (6 sessions)

Thursdays, 7pm-8pm. Cadence is pleased to once again present the next course in the Essential Freestyle series, Functional Strength and Power. This course will provide athletes with a comprehensive look at practices and methods for building swimming specific strength. Each class will begin with 30 minutes of “Dryland” exercise on the pool deck, followed by an hour of technique focused swim training. Participants can expect core work, leg strength and pulling strength exercises that are all specifically targeted towards increasing your ability to apply power in the water! This is a more advanced class and is best suited for athletes who have completed the Essential Freestyle Technique Class, and intermediate to advanced swimming skill. Classes are held at St. Joe’s University Field House Pool.

Fall Indoor Cycling Class: Start Building Your Base

$245.00 November 8th through December 17th, 2010 (12 sessions)

Mondays and Fridays, 6:30 a.m. or 6:30 p.m. Most experienced athletes realize that the big improvements in fitness are made in the off-season. The focus of the first fall indoor class will be on establishing good riding technique, increasing the ability of your body to burn fat for energy, start building your endurance and lay the ground work for higher intensity training to come. The class is designed for cyclists and triathletes of all levels looking to get a jump start on their training for next season. A field test will be done in the second class in order to ensure that each athlete is training at his/her correct power and heart rate zones during each session. Class size is limited to 16 per session.

Bicycle Maintenance Class

$35.00 per class Twice monthly starting February, 10th 2010 at 7pm

Cadence Cycling & Multisport is proud to now offer bike maintenance classes twice a month! Please join our very own Thomas Wood and Jamie Brock for some great maintenance tips in a clinic setting. During this first session Woody and Jamie will walk you through basic maintenance that will help you get ready for the outdoor riding and racing season. This is a hands on class with personal attention. Classes will be $35 each and be about 2 hours long. Our first class will be held on Wednesday, February 10th at 7pm. Classes will cover: • How to fix a flat and change a tire, • What to bring on an outdoor ride, • Pre-ride inspection, • Brake adustment, • Derailleur adjustment, • Cleaning and lubrication, • On the road fixes
