ABOUT US

From Brady and Dave:

At Cadence, we understand the power of this two-wheeled machine. It has changed us both, and we want to spread the tour de force that is the Bicycle.

At the same time, the industry is changing, and it’s changing quickly. The “Rider First” approach we have taken for more than two decades is hurtling towards a cliff. We’re experiencing it all: decreasing already modest margins, a massive increase in fixed costs, our vendors buying local bike shops to compete against us, and every possible product available online.

So where do we go from here? What’s the next step for Cadence?

We fight back. We evolve.

We want the focus to remain on you, the rider. We want to focus on interactions not transactions.

Our way of fighting back is by jumping off the merry-go-round of “order more, order now.” We want you, the rider, to decide the best bike … from color, to size, type, and brand.

That’s where Revolutionary Rentals comes in. If you haven’t read about that check it out HERE.

As we move forward we want to make it clear who we are and why we are still in this game. We celebrated 20 years last summer. and it’s all thanks to our riders. We don’t exist without this community and the trust you have put in us. Sure, we’ve experienced flat tires and massive headwinds…we’ve missed turns and gone off course at times, but we show up everyday and try to be perfect for YOU.

Our core values keep us grounded:

  • Fiercely Independent: We praise variety and will never sell out

  • Practice What We Preach: We ride bikes; we race bikes; we understand what this means to our ridership

  • All Riders Welcome: Cyclists (and the world) can be judgy… we will NOT

  • Interactions Over Transactions: Transactions are the result of great interactions

  • Strive For Perfection: There is no winning in business. We can only work to be better every day

We have only one goal for every rider who walks through our door.. Whether it’s towing kids in a trailer, commuting to work, or riding up Alpe d’Huez, we’re here to help FACILITATE THE PERFECT RIDE through our three core functions:

  1. Providing exceptional service: a poor performing bike can ruin YOUR PERFECT RIDE

  2. Offering Bike Fittings to reduce discomfort and increase performance

  3. Selecting a curated sales floor of products we love and trust

At Cadence, we want to guide you on the journey for your next bike, and we believe that the only way to know it’s the right bike is to ride more bikes.

Riding is believing.
