This is a fundraiser that our entire staff will be participating in from June 20-27 to raise money, awareness and to stand in solidarity with various Philadelphia groups working to eradicate systemic racism and support Black lives. When our ownership team took over the leadership of Cadence 7 years ago, one of our primary goals was to make Cadence into a space that was more representative and inclusive of everyone in the Philadelphia community. We know that we will always have work to do to improve our shop and further this mission. It is important to us as a small business to use our collective voice to say that Black Lives Matter (BLM) and to do what we do best--get on our bikes and put in as many miles as possible--to raise money in order to support BLM. 

The fundraiser will be a classic ride-a-thon. Each staff member has chosen a local group or organization to raise money for. We will be asking for pledges/donors (donation calculated per mile ridden) to help us raise as much money as possible for these impactful groups.
